Honestly...

I believe there is beauty to be

captured in every moment.

Even the smallest details can be just as powerful as the undeniably huge moments. I want to capture the emotions you often miss in the moment unless photographed. I want them to one day bring you nostalgia and trigger hidden memories from all of your past once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

I am absolutely in love with the cinematic genre of photography. The strategically used colors, the detailed and candid shots, super close ups and super far distance shots, and photos that help you remember your days like movies.

But, also I totally understand the necessary mix of clean, crisp photos among the artistic ones in order to appropriately capture your special moments with family...for their keepsakes as well. However, candid images will always be my top priority because they show that you are not just posing, but experiencing all kinds of emotions, personalities, and wonderful relationships with your loved ones.

If you love this style of photography just as much as I do, I am so your girl for the job!

I’m Alivia

I was born and raised in Michigan, with its beautiful forests, sandy dunes, and great lakes becoming my own personal stomping grounds. But, I have always been in love with the West and it's rocky mountains, especially the Grand Tetons.

I absolutely love nature and adventure. At a young age I found myself fascinated by the idea that everything and everyone was designed with personal and intentional beauty by God, the true artist here. And I am obsessed with my husband who I recently got to marry.

Because...

I have come a long ways to realize that photography is the one thing I can absolutely lose myself in for hours upon hours...besides my husband of course! It excites me, gets my brain filled with ideas, and gives me purpose. I started with just wanting to take pictures of sunsets, friends, and nature, but the more I experimented with it, the more I fell in love with every part of it.

Or maybe I just think they're fun...

Not only am I a photographer, I teach snowboarding lessons seasonally, I screen print for a small company, and I am pursuing by Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. One day I hope to turn to photography full time and start a family and small homestead here in Michigan. I am a bit of a hippie because I am obsessed with everything natural and homemade from clothes to remedies. I am currently a proud mom to 3 little nigerian goat bucks named bluey, butterscotch, and ghost...they really are the cutest.
