Honestly...

I believe there is beauty to be

captured in every moment.

Even the smallest details can be just as powerful as the undeniably huge moments. I want to capture the emotions you often miss in the moment unless photographed. I want them to one day bring you nostalgia and recall hidden memories from all of your once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

I am absolutely in love with the cinematic/storytelling genre of photography. The strategically used colors, the detailed and candid shots, super close ups and super far distance shots...photos that help you remember your days like one big movie.

I totally understand the necessary mix of clean, crisp photos among the artistic ones in order to appropriately capture your special moments with family...for their keepsakes as well. However, candid images will always be my top priority because they show that you are not just posing for the camera, but actually living in the moment and experiencing all kinds of emotions with your loved ones.

If you love this style of photography just as much as I do, I am so your girl for the job!

I’m Alivia

I was born and raised in Michigan, with its beautiful forests, sandy dunes, and great lakes becoming my own personal stomping grounds. But, I have always been in love with the West and it's stunning rocky mountains.

I am absolutely in love with nature and any kind of outdoorsy adventure. From a young age, I found myself fascinated by the fact that everything and everyone was designed with personal, intentional beauty by God...the true artist here. I am also obsessed with my husband who I believe to be the most selfless and sweet person I have ever met.

Because...

I have come a long way to realize that photography is the one thing I can absolutely lose myself in for hours upon hours! It excites me, gets my brain filled with ideas, and gives me purpose. I also get to meet the coolest people and celebrate their most special moments!

As with my latest endeavor, mastering the art of film photography, the more photoshoots and events I was blessed to photograph, the more I fell in love with every single part process.

Not only am I a photographer, I teach snowboarding lessons seasonally, I screen print for a small company, and I am pursuing by Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.

One day, I hope to turn photography into a full time gig and start a small homestead up in Alaska! I am a bit of a hippie, being obsessed with everything natural and homemade, from crafts to remedies to baby diapers. My husband and I are absolutely stoked to be welcoming our very first baby this November!
